As far as this killer storm... if, and only IF, I see snowflakes will I worry. Every storm has passed us by this year. I swear they avoid me or something. :-)
At work, you just *know* it's going to be one of "those" shifts if THIS is the first thing you see when you open the first trombone case in the pile of refurbs.
Work continues. I think the mad rush of rental season is slowly winding down. In the repair shop, we've actually have some time to work on some "prep for sale" instruments! Apparently I'm getting better at repadding flutes. They're still frustrating at times, but it's *really* satisfying to do a repad job and have the instrument just *sing*

Well, Susie left yesterday morning, and gave me a "nice" parting gift. She didn't want to leave her cage, and when I reached in to get her to step up, she bit the shit out of my finger. The only times she ever bit me that drew blood were when the other foster family was around. Sooo... I guess that letting her go back was probably the right idea

Workload is still heavy. We're down to our last contracted school (pickup should be tomorrow), but Rental Season(TM) has begun, according to our front staff. This is a Good Thing as we rent and sell instruments in addition to repair, yanno? In the meantime, our customer instrument rack was looking decidedly overloaded until today. Still lots 'o

For the foreseeable future, I will be working a lot more. With one co-worker out sick (was in the hospital), and the schools and our supplier merrily changing things without telling us, we're getting buried in repairs.
So, I'll probably be working six-day weeks for a while. I'll try to post and stuff, but will definitely be more scarce online.
